Packing With Peel Two of the Nine items, some dating from the 1770’s,
now packed professionally.
Volunteers at the Peel Museum had a spot of on the job practical training in how to pack historic textiles this week under the watchful eye of their MDO – Helen.
The museum was given a selection of 18th century garments which belonged to members of the Peel family. These have now been photographed, documented and packed into acid free boxes. Mike (pictured), Robert and Roger are all now ‘scrunchy’ making and packing experts.
Also thanks to Rebecca, Anita, Jo, Hilary and Steve for helping with the
working party dealing with the archive collection of documents.
